Grove House tops out: the loggias take shape

The concrete frame is complete on all six floors. Here is what topping out means for buyers, what happens next on site and when the first model residence opens.

Grove House tops out: the loggias take shape

Last Thursday the crew poured the roof slab on Grove House. It is the moment a building stops growing and starts becoming a place to live. For the twenty-four households who reserved early, it is also the point where dates stop being estimates.

What topping out actually means

The structure is now complete: six floors of concrete frame, every loggia slab cast to its final depth. From here the work moves inside and onto the facade. Nothing that follows changes the shape of your home.

Buyers on the standard schedule will receive the third payment notice this month. It is tied to this milestone in the contract, so there are no surprises in the timing.

What happens next on site

Over the next six months, in roughly this order:

  • Facade panels and the timber loggia screens, east elevation first
  • Windows and doors, sealing each floor from the weather
  • Mechanical, electrical and the quiet ventilation system
  • Limewash, oak floors and stone in the model residence
The frame is honest work. Once the loggias are cast, you can stand where your morning coffee will be and feel the breeze come through.

We will keep the crane until the facade is closed in, around the end of January. After that the site gets noticeably quieter for the neighbours, and noticeably busier inside.

When you can visit

The model residence opens to registered buyers in November. Viewings are private and take about an hour, with the sales team and an architect on hand. Book a slot from the development page or call the sales gallery.

Every buyer is also offered two hard-hat tours during the build. The first runs in December, once the windows on your floor are in, so you can see the real light in your real rooms.
